Rictor
X-Force:
Rictor isn’t
seen again until
he appeared
teamed with
Weapon P.R.I.M.E,
trying to take
down Cable. The
poor boy was
convinced that
the X-force
leader was the
one who killed
his father. He
battled X-force,
trying so hard
to complete the
mission, but he
ends up siding
with his old
friends once
when Cable
disappears.
He remains with
X-force, running
into various
troubles before
Cable returns
again, creating
a problem. He is
informed by
Cable that it
was Stryfe who
killed Julio’s
father, but this
fact did not
stop Rictor’s
dislike towards
the man.
Rictor’s
personality
greatly changed
since he last
was on a team;
he became more
rash, was prone
to angry
outbursts, and
often stormed
off. The once
nice kid had
transformed into
an angry
teenager, which
if looked at
logically, is
most likely due
to heartbreak he
felt with Rahne.
Still, Rictor
moved on, and
eventually found
a close friend
in Shatterstar.
At one point,
Rictor returned
home when he
discovered
casualties among
his family
members, but the
trip was fast,
as he wanted to
remain with
X-force in
efforts to be a
better person
than his
relatives. This
is the first
glimpse of his
family, and it
is clearly a
sore spot for
him. He mused
that he wasn’t
sure who he
hated more, his
father for
living the life,
or his mother
for following in
those footsteps.
He eventually
took off with
Cable and
Domino, and
notes that all
he wants to do
is leave.
Though, when
Cable decided to
start
communicating
telepathically
during missions,
Rictor flipped
and decided he’d
rather be back
in Mexico than
have Cable in
his head.
Rictor isn’t
seen again until
Shatterstar is
going through an
identity crisis.
He comes back,
clearly angry
with what’s been
happening with
his best friend,
but he claims
he’s there to
stay. Their
reunion is a
small one, as
Shatterstar gets
kidnapped along
with Cable.
‘Star eventually
dies in a really
unique story
that I will
never be able to
understand as
long as I live.
When ‘Star
returns, he and
Rictor hold
hands like all
boys do; then
it’s back to
X-force.
Rictor mostly
sticks to 'Star’s
side for his
remaining time
on the team, and
doesn’t have
nearly the
amount of
interactions
with the others
as he did
beforehand.
Operation zero
tolerance then
rolls around,
and he gets
kidnapped.
Again. To be
fair, he’s with
Tabitha and
‘Star when it
happens, but a
kidnapping is a
kidnapping.
Rictor’s
experience with
those is still
rising.
When their
mission ended,
Rictor decided
that he’d rather
go back to
Mexico than put
up with Cable’s
shit, and
Shatterstar tags
along with him.
How romantic..
