Shatterstar
~Conversion of sound into explosive energy (in
shockwaves, mostly). This is his one true mutant
ability. It has also been said that in order for him to
affectively channel his energy it needs to be done
through his swords. The swords have been described as
being designed to focus his ‘force of will’; meaning he
can channel the energy through them without them even
being in contact with his body. The power itself emits a
loud humming sound and a flash of light. The light
created is bright almost to a blinding sense, and has
been depicted as being orange, pink, and/or red. Note
though that this is the one ability that weakens him; he
finds it exhausting enough that he doesn’t bother using
it very often at all.
~Personal regeneration. Has been shot, stabbed, impaled
through the chest, blown up, and has fallen from great
heights. All of these things have been proven futile to
kill him. His healing factor also works very quickly, as
shown when he has stabbed himself through the chest and
was walking around mere seconds later. That being said,
his regeneration is probably on par, or even better,
than Wolverine’s. It has not been determined if this
affects his aging process like humans, but since
Longshot has been shown (and personally said) that
living to ‘the ripe old age of 200’ is seemingly normal,
one can guess that ‘Star has a long life ahead of him.
It has also been said that he has the unconscious
ability to move his organs when need be (for example,
when he stabbed himself through the chest he knew he
would miss because of his heart's ability to shift its
position), although this has been debated.
~Enhanced learning capabilities. He can learn and
perfect skills, languages, strategies, tactics, or
knowledge at a highly accelerated rate. His ability to
absorb knowledge is uncanny, which makes him highly
intelligent.
~Both his swords (Against the Kree, and Juggernaut)
and his powers (against Sam Guthrie) have been able to
produce mass damage even to those with invulnerability.
Shatty once said that his world’s magic and science were
far more advanced than anything on Earth.
~Increased stamina; can affectively train for hours with
little rest.
~Enhanced senses -- namely sight and hearing.
~Enhanced speed
~Enhanced agility and reflexes
~Enhanced strength; can lift up to 5 tons on his best
day.
(note these are not considered mutant abilities, these
are natural/magical abilities 'given' to him at birth.)
~Long Range Teleportation. This ability is new and its origin is unknown. As of now, all we know is that Shatterstar channels an energy from his swords (much like his sound conversion),
crosses them in front of his chest, and opens a portal. This portal has shown the ability to not only move him from one place to the next, but also large groups of people and a vehicle.
'Star can also use physical contact to 'read' a location from another person's psyche. Because of this, 'Star does not have to see where he is going to teleport.
~Master swordsman. He was trained from a very young age
by a man on Mojoworld.
~Skilled combat fighter. He excels in hand to hand
combat.
~Is trained to use knives and shuriken, as well as his
swords.
~Multilingual. Languages that are known, but not limited
to, are: English, Cadre Alliance, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.
~Acrobatics.
~Pilot. Has been seen flying X-Force’s airborne
vehicles.
~Mechanic; was force fed the knowledge to care for,
repair, and maintain vehicles
~Survival training and techniques
~Good with computers, hacking security systems, and
repairing technological devices.
